Grain Sack Savy: Bench Update

I showed you a sneak peak of a little project I did the other day. Take a look.

I bought this bench at a thrift store a while ago and used it for my dining table for all my kids to sit on. My dining area is actually too small for it so I have been using in another area.

I used my country white go to paint and mixed  batch of chalk paint. After a few layers I didn't want just plain white so I decided to tape a few grain sack lines on.

Right after I put the green chalk paint on I peeled off the tape so I could get a clean line.

I let it thoroughly dry and put a coat of wax on to finish it off. I love chalk paint!!!
Speaking of Dining Rooms. I have my table just sitting in the shed waiting for me to paint it. I'm just trying to decide on colors. A while back I posted a few tables I liked here. Tell me what you like.

  1. Wow it looks great!! I love the green chalk paint on top of the white with the dark wood showing a little.

    1. Thanks Julie. My 6 year old daughter even got involved with me painting this and my 4 year old helped peel off the tape.
